Cake smash events are a fun way to celebrate a first birthday…. be prepared to get messy as we all get covered in cake!
I love it when their photos are filled with a smile, curious or mischievous look that is captured for you to smile at for years to come. I will work with your little one’s individual personality to create a unique keepsake from their first birthday to treasure for a lifetime.
I can come to you if you live near to Abingdon in Oxfordshire and for indoor sessions. We can discuss beforehand the colours for your background. You will need to provide any special outfit or any additional props you wish to use. I highly recommend a change of clothes (definitely for your little one).
The session involves getting your baby used to being in front of the camera and once the cake is placed in front of them, I will take photographs as the session unfolds.

Chosen images are edited to ensure they look their very best.
To prevent a tummy upset or an allergy you are asked to provide the cake in line with your baby’s dietary requirements or I can source a cake at an additional cost from a local supplier.
£50 deposit secures your booking and will be deducted from your final payment.

Many of my families also ask what their child should wear? I will discuss this with you before the photoshoot and we can agree a colour palate and I can give you an idea of what does and doesn’t work. You will certainly need to bring a change of clothes for your little one as the cake often get everywhere!

When should I book my child's cake smash?
If your baby is heading towards their first birthday it might be the time to think about a cake smash photoshoot. The cake smash is uaually organised around the first birthday. Nevertheless you don’t have to wait until the exact time and I can be flexible in the dates in the few months before of after their first birthday.
Do you offer the bubble bath experience too?
Yes, the cake smash and splash sessions are available at extra cost. Please do ask when you contact me.
