 Pet, Equine & Family portraits in Oxfordshire – why work with me?

Hello my name is Helen I am an Oxfordshire based photographer and I specialise in pet, equine, family and maternity, portrait photography.  I am based in Abingdon, near Oxford and cover Oxfordshire, West Berkshire (Reading & Newbury area), South Buckinghamshire (High Wycombe area) and North-East Wiltshire (Swindon area).

I have been photographing families since 2012 and have received training as an assistant and trainee photographer with a local children’s and family natural light photographer and an Internationally renowned Pet and Equine Photographer. I have also completed training in studio lighting; newborn posing and safety and one to one new born training with a photographer in the North of England.

I would love to work with you to capture those special moments and preserve memories for your family by capturing the transition from infancy, childhood though to adulthood in an easy going, fun way.

While on location, I use a combination of documentary style and some posed images so I will take photographs as the situation unfolds and place myself unobtrusively around the action to anticipate what might happen next. I am passionate about capturing those special moments for individuals and families.

What about my pet?

I specialise in outdoor pet and equine portrait photography and offer the opportunity for woodland or urban photoshoots to create beautiful wall art for your home.

Similarly, your pet is a part of your family so is welcome to be part of a family photoshoot.

Depending who your pet is will determine where we take  the photos. Please bear in mind, in spite of having four of my own, I cannot herd cats! Again, do contact me for a chat. 

Where shall we go for our photoshoot?

I will work with you as your photographer at an agreed outdoor location within a 30-mile radius of Oxford.

This means if you live on the border of Oxfordshire such as High Wycombe, Reading, Newbury or Swindon we can arrange to meet up for a full outdoor photoshoot.

Examples of some of the venues that I have successfully used for photoshoots are Shotover Country Park in Oxford; Stoke Woods near Bicester; Wittenham Clumps near Didcot; Faringdon’s Folly Tower; Bagley Woods and River Thames near Abingdon.

Regardless of your Oxfordshire whereabouts, this is such a beautiful county we have a wide choice of places to meet and take some fabulous photographs using nature as our backdrop.

Do you want bump to baby photographs?

If you be pregnant, I can offer you a bespoke outdoor maternity package within Oxfordshire.

Similarly, for newborn photographs I can come to your home to capture authentic shots of you and your baby.  You can even combine a pregnancy photoshoot with a newborn package to have a bump to baby experience.
